We love having them even more at this time of year. So it’s no surprise that they just made the trending line up this autumn for a staggering 3rd season in a row. From what I hear everyone is being catered for on the style front and that includes from readily available and affordable to high-end and small boutique collaborations. Or the heavy-duty grip on a 4×4 off-road vehicle? If you are thinking Formula 1 like traction then you are on the right track (pun completely intended).

The lug heal is a new wave in footwear styling, It’s footwear that is kind to your feet and stylish. Did I just say that? When has women’s foot wear ever been kind to your feet and stylish? This little secret could mean it is on course to be big business this autumn and that’s why? It’s got improved style, improved comfort and improved pavement traction all in one. Now how does that sound? Am I dreaming? Is this real? If you are planning on pounding the high street or you are out for a venue dash, the new lug heel could be just the right shoe for you. The best pavement hikers will be wearing this new lug heel all over town this autumn and come winter too. And they will be smiling not because they look good, they secretly feel good and comfortable. Whatever the weather and whatever you are doing the chances are, in a lug heel chunky boot, you could be looking better, and feeling great. Why? because they are designed to look good, feel good, and work like an autumn dream.  But shh don’t tell anyone you are comfortable, its a secret. Maybe walk a bit funny or like you are in a bit of pain to throw them off. Now lets get into some amazing new colour trends.

What’s new in colour trends

This season is already seeing some serious moves being made in colour, tone, and fabrics. New colours alone are making so much noise. Black is still a favourite classic look though, closely followed by the natural shades from season two in both cream and brown. Strong new contenders this year are army green and battle grey, for when you really mean business. I would definitely keep my eye on these two throughout the coming season. But the hot new colour already making waves is the fabulous Oxblood red. Oxblood has already been showcased across the fashion world and is being hailed as this season’s new colour to this autumn’s party. So it’s all to play for on the colour front now. It’s going to be a close competition. But, which new colour will you be adding to your wardrobe this season, to make sure you have the best chunky collection you can get your hands on. next up we have the two-to-tone styling.

There are a number of stylists making great moves with two-to-tone styling. Black elastic panels are still very much present in some of the new designs already out. So, if you like the smartness of the classic black chunky sole but want a little extra colour definition up top, then two-to-tone is a good option to go for. Popular colours are still very much cream on black soles, white on black soles, green on black soles, and tan or soft brown on black soles. What ever colour match you go for you can guarantee they will look great.

High shine or diamond polish?

Leather is still a much-loved and practical favourite for the chunky boot  It’s one of the most suitable and hard-wearing fabrics for this time of year. If you fancy something a bit more blingy then look out for the fabulous new high shine or diamond shine polish. Things are already getting a plenty of interesting. Rubber tips are also making a little more noise this season. I have seen some amazing low-key styled trims around the toe cap and sides, so this is one feature to watch out for this season. So I am sure we are all rather pleased to know it will be sticking around for a little while longer.

The heavy black sole has been pounding the pavement for 2 autumn seasons already and I don’t see it going away anytime soon. Soles have got a little thicker this season, allowing for more durability as we head into winter, but the original style and form are still going strong with a good amount of presence in the world of fashion.
